Online Coaching:

For those of you that are more self sufficient, then online coaching is the perfect package to ensure your ticking all the boxes in your training and lifestyle. If you look at all of your favourite fitness icons, odds are they have their own coach programming their every move. A coach takes the hard work and technicality out of your training and lets you focus in on the component that requires your full attention. Lifting.

What is Online Coaching?

You can walk into any gym nowadays and watch the majority of people fail to construct a program that’s going to yield gains worthy of all their hard work. That’s where we step in.  In a world that’s more connected than ever before, it’s not hard to see why online coaching is such a popular option for so many people.

We don’t just slap together a bunch of our favourite exercises into a little table like some coaches out there. Our programming protocols take into account a variety of factors from exercise preference, time availability and of course, your personal goals, in order to create a program that not only gets you where you want to be, but it becomes something you love doing. Simply put, you just can’t beat the convenience of a coach in your pocket.

What does Online Coaching include?

Program Development

Every athlete at EAC gets a specific, tailor made program that can be followed in the gym. These programs are completely customised to specifically suit you and your goals; no two people are the same, and therefore no two people will get the same program. Programs will differ depending on a variety of factors including: Personal preferences, equipment availability, time availability, injuries ect.

Direct Communication

Inclusive of all coaching programs, is a direct line of communication to your coach. In addition to an optional video or phone call for a monthly progress check in, clients have the option to ask their coach any questions they may have on various topics such as exercise execution / dietary recommendations / injury advice. Compared to face to face coaching, the main difference is the level and ease of communication between the athlete and coach. In saying this, there is a priority on the communication aspect of online coaching at EAC. By focusing our attention on good communication, a more personalised service can be offered, maximising the potential for each and every athlete involved in online coaching.

Nutrition Guidelines

The nutrition guidelines that we provide at EAC are limited, as specific dietary programming is beyond our scope of practice. This means specific recommendations on diet cannot be legally made. In saying this, we encourage athletes to track their diet using MyFitnessPal, in order to get the most out of their online coaching experience. General guidelines and information are provided to athletes to ensure that their diets are adequately fuelling their training and wellbeing.

Educational video library

All Online Coaching clients get access to an ever expanding video library aimed at educating you on a variety of different topics. Videos will cover subjects such as exercise execution, warm up drills, mobility work, activation drills, etc. This library will largely be driven from the engagement of online clients. For example, if a client poses a question that requires an accompanying video for explanation, it will be listed in the video library for everyone to see.  The aim of this library is to provide the best educational material for you to apply to your own training.

Would you benefit from online coaching?

If your completely new to the world of strength training, then I’d suggest our ‘Learn to Lift’ program instead of our online coaching. You have to figure out how your body works before you go and throw yourself into the technical side of lifting. But if you’ve been going to the gym for a while now and your ready to take your training to the next level, theres never been a better time to start with an online coach.

So what type of person would benefit the most from online coaching.

Time poor: We can all agree that sometimes it feels like there’s just not enough hours in the day, lucky for you, online coaching works around your schedule. There is absolutely no time commitments necessary in online coaching, everything is at your own pace.

Money conscious: When you weigh up the service you receive for the price you pay, it’s hard to see why everybody doesn’t have an online coach. It is by far the most cost effective way to fast track your results, but it all depends on you possessing some essential qualities.

So what qualities make a good online client?

Accountability: Consistent adherence to your program is going to be the defining factor in your success. This is why self sufficiency is such an important quality for someone looking into online coaching. If you know you can stick to the program and guidelines your coach is providing for you, then the results can be just as quick as face to face coaching; which can become up to 5x more expensive.

Communication: Effective communication is going to result in you not only getting the best service possible, but it can also greatly benefit us as coaches.
